Tourism:

Mojacar Village allows you to feel like you are stepping far back in time. It has been home to peoples since the Bronze Age, around 2000BC. Everywhere you go you will see images of the Indalo which is a magical totem said to bring protection and good luck. The fresh water fountain is at the heart of the village and a meeting place for villagers

Granada is well worth a visit or overnight stay. It is in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains and is home to UNESCO listed Alhambra Palace.

The cities of Andalucia are all worth visiting if you wish to expore the area further  - or else just can just relax and enjoy the sun, sand and relaxation in Mojacar!

Shopping:

Markets selling fresh fruit, vegetables, olives, freshly grilled  chicken, flowers and all kinds of summer clothes and gifts take place every week in the centre of the villages. (Wednesday - Mojacar Village, Friday - Garrucha, Saturday - Vera)

Supermarkets - we recommend Mercadona along the beachfront towards Garrucha. There are lots of smaller supermarkets but this one offers the best range, If you are in Turre the local supermarket there SuperTurre is excellent for wines and is good value.
